Mussoorie, I have been there twice, once in August during the monsoon season and again in October. Mussoorie is in the mountains above Dehradun. The altitude is 2005.5 metres the altitude of Dehradun is 640 metres. Mussoorie is 35 kilometers from Dehradun, or about a 45 minute ride. The road is narrow and has many hair-pin curves. Mussoorie is a haven for the rich who stay there in the summer to get out of the heat. It is a great place to visit, on a clear day you can see the Himalayas. Please go to the internet for more information about Mussoorie, it has a rich history. I may post more pictures of Mussoorie later. Enjoy!

Inside St. Paul's Church

We ate outside next to St. Paul's Church
The cook was amazing, making omelets,
pancakes etc. and his shirt was spotless.  My clothes
would have been a mess.  The food was very good.

The back of some of the houses, across from the
pack mules

A pack mule, these pack mules take the produce that
is grown in the villages out, it is the only way except for
walking.  Many of the people in these villages are born and
die in these villages many without ever leaving their village.
These mules will take the produce to New Delhi and
bring back supplies that are needed in the villages

View of the Himalayas on a clear day.  We thought
we could see them, but it may have been some clouds.:)
