My travels in India, from home to a retreat, to New Delhi, to Agra (Taj Mahal) back to New Delhi then back home. A wonderful trip with friends, we had a great time. Enjoy ALL the pictures. For information concerning any of the sites please check the internet.

Retreat in Nashik, my room was on the left.
Center was build around the 1930's

Entrance to the main area, goats and lots of other critters.

Inside the main area,
meals were eaten in the white building in the back.

People that attended the retreat

Red Fort

Red Fort with friends,
grassy area was originally filled with water

Old Delhi, the wedding alley,
 had a wonderful rickshaw driver

Old Delhi, the spice alley

Taj Mahal, much larger that one would think, those are people standing to go in,
the bottom row, then again more people right above.
Beautiful, Wonderful, what a man made creation.

Taj Mahal

Our guide explaining the cutting of the stones and placement
Unbelievable

From the inside looking through one of the marble lattice.

They had camels to get to the Taj Mahal if you didn't feel like walking.

Train Museum in New Delhi
India has an interesting history of rail ways throughout the country

Drove home by taxi, sugar cane harvest.
A water Buffalo pulling a wagon of sugar cane

Truck load of sugar cane

Small wagon with people and sugar cane

Bus loaded with people.

My favorite picture of an oxen pulling a wagon and a very
distinguished gentleman driving.

Lined up to deliver sugar cane to factory,
really slowed up traffic both ways.

Not sure, but I think it is chopped up sugar cane that will be reprocessed
into something else. ???  But there was a number of trucks
that had this kind of load.  Made for interesting driving.

  1. Bonnie, What amazing pictures!! It's wonderful to view India through your eyes instead of just reading it in a book. May God continue to bless your journies.
